Located in Uberach, north of Strasbourg,  Jean Metzger has been a whisky pioneer for 20 years ; his Distillerie Bertrand works with pure water from the Vosges and a malt supplied by the nearby brewery, dried in peat. This visionary producers is famous for using barrels from great wine producerss such as Jean-François Ganevat, Jacques Selosse, Domaine Romanée Conti, Gérard Schuller… creating exceptional whiskeys rivalling those of the greatest Scottish region.
