About Us

Nestled in the sun-drenched hills of Tuscany, a small family-run winery is making waves—not just for its award-winning reds, but for its revolutionary approach to sustainable winemaking.
Founded in 2003, Tenuta Verde was born from a dream shared by siblings Marco and Elisabetta Rossi, who traded their fast-paced city lives in Milan for the rolling vineyards of the Chianti region. What began as a modest plot of Sangiovese grapes has since blossomed into a 20-hectare estate that now supplies organic wines to select restaurants across Europe and Asia.
But Tenuta Verde’s rise isn’t just about quality wine—it’s about conscious craftsmanship. The Rossi siblings have implemented solar-powered fermentation facilities, zero-waste bottling systems, and a unique “regenerative vineyard” practice that integrates wild herbs and bee habitats between the vine rows. According to Marco, “We don’t just grow grapes; we grow an ecosystem.”

Their flagship wine, Luce del Bosco, a bold yet elegant Chianti Classico, recently clinched a gold medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards. Yet, the winemakers remain grounded. “We’re not here to scale up to a global brand,” Elisabetta shares. “We want to prove that a small winery can have a big impact—on both the palate and the planet.”
For Cogito readers seeking a blend of tradition and innovation, Tenuta Verde is a name worth remembering—one sip at a time.
Wines with personality & terroir driven
EXPANDING THE NATURAL WINE COMMUNITY IN SINGAPORE
A precursor Cogito Wines was founded in 2018, a direct importer and distributer of first-class artisanal wineries. From domaines with a long family tradition to rising stars, our selected vignerons are dedicated to creating pristine wines reflecting the authenticity of their terroir, vines and personality.
All of our wines are sourced from vineyards with organic or biodynamic principles. Mechanization is limited or even avoided and the work on vines is completely manual. In the cellar, winemakers use nature as their compass and ‘intervention’ in the naturally occurring fermentation process would be kept to a minimum. Cogito supports this principles thoroughly. It is a philosophical commitment and respect for a fundamental value; to leave nature alone and to take it as it is, in its magic and whims.
Small (often confidential) production and low intervention principle are essential attributes for our catalogue. Aromatic, rich, elegant or either fresh, vibrant, fun… every type of wine for everyone.
Cogito Wines’ selections are guided by taste, precision and texture over dogma, marketing or the latest fashion. We are detached from trends and just want to drink for the pleasure of drinking.
