Meinklang is an original, family-run mixed farm, set in the middle of the World Heritage Site of the National Park Neusiedlersee, on the Eastern side of the Neusiedlersee Lake, bordering directly on the Hungarian lowlands, where life’s diversity and complexity are celebrated. The Michlits family owns 2000 ha of land and produces biodynamic wine, grain, beer and honey. They also breed animals to be self-sufficient. The vineyards are grown biodynamically with native grape varieties of the region. The domain extends into the Hungarian part of this region in the same territorial continuity. In the cellar they intervene as little as possible by allowing spontaneous fermentations, without additives in the wine and only in certain cases limited quantities of sulphur. The wine is refined in steel, cement (concret eggs) or wooden vats.
